The Pickeral Lake to Bushkill stretch of Bush Kill Creek in Pike/Monroe County is 25 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-IV section. The natural beauty of Pennsylvania and the water flowing gracefully down Bush Kill Creek are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you're coming from East Stroudsburg it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have
a lot of people coming here. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers
here are not very demanding. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no other stretches to paddle along Bush Kill Creek than the Pickeral Lake to Bushkill stretch. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here.
