This stretch of Cedar Run in Tioga/Lycoming County is 6.6 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Lock Haven, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The average Pennsylvania whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent
length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The natural beauty of Tioga/Lycoming County and the water flowing gracefully down Cedar Run attract people from near and far. Cedar Run doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Leetonia to Pine Creek section is the only one.
Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

falls here at Cedar Run; through June this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Near Cedar Run you stumble on great places like Hamilton Hollow, and do take a hike on the Tumbling Run Trail. Summertime brings highs in the
80's to Cedar Run. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Cedar Run during the wintertime mostly drop into the 10's.
