This section of Clarion River in Pennsylvania is 28 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Pennsylvania and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. You     might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is the only paddling section along Clarion River. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. Briefly about the general area: During the warm days of summer at Clarion River highs are typically in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Clarion River temperatures descend to the 10's. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Clarion River; June is when   you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. The Pine Run Trail is a glorious hiking trail close to Clarion River, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Callen Run Trail.
