Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end     up sleeping in your car. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. The put-in is not too far from York-Hanover, as you can see on the road map further down. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came.
