The nature scenery of Pennsylvania and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Pennsylvania are easier than the national norm, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The campgrounds here at Conewago Creek - East are pretty good. Getting some good exercise and just hanging     out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from York-Hanover, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. Conewago Creek - East doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Aberdeen Mills to Hillsdale Road section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 80's to Conewago Creek - East. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures   at Conewago Creek - East dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
