The campgrounds here at Deer Creek are pretty good. There are no other sections to paddle along Deer Creek than the Shippenville to Clarion River section. The wonderful Clarion County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Deer Creek are in     themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less demanding.
