The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Pennsylvania tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
