The natural beauty of Westmoreland County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. If you're coming from Somerset it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that many runs in this state are very easy. No need to look hard for hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section is long enough for an overnight
trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is the only paddling stretch along Fourmile Run. This
