This stretch of Hornbeck's Creek in Pennsylvania is 1.8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V+ section. The put-in is not too far from East Stroudsburg, as you can see on the road map further down. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a
bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. Hornbeck's Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Emery's Road to Route 209
section is the only one. The natural beauty of Pennsylvania and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy.
