The put-in is not too far from East Stroudsburg, as you can see on the road map further down. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a     bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. Hornbeck's Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Emery's Road to Route 209 section is the only one.
