The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Pennsylvania are often more forgiving than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. This section of Indian Creek is 4.9 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV(V) section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there     are lots of good places for that around here. The Route 381 to Camp Carmel stretch is the only paddling stretch along Indian Creek. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: From a rainfall point of view Indian Creek is a pretty typical location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Indian Creek. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Indian Creek.
