There's camping available near Lehigh River. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so better bring your camping gear along. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance     because these hotels fill up quick. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Pennsylvania Route 435 to Canal Park Allentown section is just one of many. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Lehigh River a wet location; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture. Hit the slopes at Blue Mountain around here. Summertime   at Lehigh River arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lehigh River.
