This stretch of Little Conemaugh River is 5.6 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Pennsylvania is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for     more. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Little Conemaugh River have people coming here. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that.
