The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Pennsylvania are often more forgiving than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The Old US Route 15 to Horner Road section of Marsh Creek in Pennsylvania is 3.8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back
for more. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'll have to walk back to
the start over and over. Marsh Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Old US Route 15 to Horner Road stretch is the only one. If you're coming from Gettysburg it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nature scenery of Pennsylvania and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far.
