This section of Marsh Creek in Adams County is 3.8 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Adams County and the water flowing gracefully down Marsh Creek beats anything. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking
here in Pennsylvania are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or
kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The Old US Route 15 to Horner Road stretch is the only paddling stretch along Marsh Creek. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you're coming from Gettysburg it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down.
