The Flicksville to mouth section of Martins Creek in Northampton County is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Northampton County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Martins Creek have people coming here. The starting location is a short drive from Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, as you can see on the road map further down. There are no other stretches to paddle along Martins Creek than the Flicksville to mouth stretch. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while
are sure to keep you coming back for more. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make
reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Pennsylvania is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding.
