The nature scenery of Pennsylvania and the water flowing gracefully down Martins Creek make the trip here worthwhile. The put-in location is a short drive from Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are very easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem
but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Martins Creek are pretty good. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. This section of Martins Creek
is 6 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Martins Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Flicksville to mouth section is the only one. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers.
