The Pennsylvania Route 381 to Youghiogheny River section of Meadow Run is 7 miles long and is a class IV-V(V+) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The natural beauty of Fayette County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and     paddle. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The Pennsylvania Route 381 to Youghiogheny River section is the only paddling section along Meadow Run. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. The average Pennsylvania whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners.
