If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. Tributary in Pennsylvania is 2.75 miles long and is a class I-II(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive
a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.
The nature scenery of Venango County and the water flowing gracefully down Mill Creek - Allegheny R. Tributary are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places.
