The starting point is not too far from Williamsport, as you can see on the road map further down. The natural beauty of Lycoming County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. This section of Miners Run in Pennsylvania is 1 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states,
so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. Miners Run doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Gorge section is the only one. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. This is an extremely
short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.

nights come with lows in the 10's to Miners Run. The Doe Run Trail is a great hiking trail close to Miners Run. A wonderful place to take a look at in the vicinity of Miners Run is Fourth Bottom Hollow, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Old Loggers Path. The amount
