The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Pennsylvania tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The Gorge section is the only paddling section along Miners Run. This is an extremely short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. of Miners Run in Lycoming County is 1 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.
| Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
Briefly about the general area:
Take a hike on the Doe Run Trail. High temperatures at Miners Run during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; overnight lows at Miners Run during the winter generally fall into the 10's.

Bottom Hollow which is unquestionably worth visiting. From a rain point of view Miners Run is a pretty common site; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January.
