Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Pennsylvania tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The Yukon to Youghiogheny section is the only paddling section along Sewickley Creek. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. The campgrounds here at Sewickley Creek are pretty good. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag.
