The State Game Lands # 39 to Pecan stretch of South Sandy Creek in Vernango County is 6.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Pennsylvania     tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. There's camping available near South Sandy Creek. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots.
