This section of Stony Fork Creek is 4.2 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time     in nature are great reasons to come. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. Stony Fork Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the State Forest Picnic Area to Babb Creek section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike along the Fork Hill Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; hiking along the Stone Quarry Trail is delightful fun. This river is so great. Throughout the warm days   of summer highs here at Stony Fork Creek get into the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
