The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Route 711 to Bolivar section is the only paddling section along Tubmill Creek. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The starting point is not too far from Indiana, as you can see on the road map further down. Some people     prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Pennsylvania are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. Briefly about the general area: Tubmill Creek is a pretty wet place frequently with a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and February meanwhile is the driest month. At Tubmill Creek all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
