Puerto Rico whitewater - Anasco River, Las Marias County Las Marias county, Rt. 124 bridge to Route 119 bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-III(V)     7.8 miles   Does any one know anything about this river and paddeling in puerto rico in general? Cant seem to find much on the internet. Is it safe to camp, leave a car, stuff like that. Any info would help. Says Kyle The starting location is a short drive from Aguadilla-Isabela-San Sebastián, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is the only paddling stretch along Anasco River.     This stretch of Anasco River in Las Marias County is 7.8 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III(V) section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Puerto Rico and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Briefly about the general area: Quebrada Sumaria is a tremendous place to pop by close by, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Vereda Descanso. The warmest time of the year at Anasco River arrives with high temperatures in the 90's while overnight lows are frequently in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 80's with temperatures at Anasco River dipping down into the 60's during winter nights.
