Puerto Rico whitewater - Anasco River, Las Marias County Las Marias county, Rt. 124 bridge to Route 119 bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-III(V)     7.8 miles   Does any one know anything about this river and paddeling in puerto rico in general? Cant seem to find much on the internet. Is it safe to camp, leave a car, stuff like that. Any info would help. Says Kyle The put-in is not too far from Aguadilla-Isabela-San Sebastián, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The beautiful scenery of Las Marias County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. This is the only paddling section along Anasco River. Getting a good workout and spending some quality     time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Nearby Quebrada Sumaria is a great location to go if you're at Anasco River, and do take a hike on the Vereda Descanso. High temperatures at Anasco River all through the summertime months are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 80's, and winter nights come with lows in the 60's to Anasco River.
