This section of the river will be gone. Says The scenic beauty of Utuado County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Hacienda Santa Elena to Utuado section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start     over and over. The starting location is a short drive from Utuado, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Briefly about the general area: A wonderful place next to Areciebo River is Quebrada Conchita; you're sure to bump into some cheerful people from Utuado here. A good deal of rain falls at Areciebo River; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is usually the driest month. At Areciebo River throughout the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's.
