The starting location is a short drive from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The wonderful Providence County scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Clear and Branch doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Harrisville to Nasonville stretch is the only one. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, |

it's perfect for a one day trip. The Harrisville to Nasonville section of Clear and Branch in Providence County is 7.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations
| you might end up sleeping in your car.
Briefly about the general area:
The warmest time of the year at Clear and Branch comes with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Clear and Branch. Flynns Beach is in the vicinity of Clear and Branch and is a lovely beach to visit, and do put some time aside to spend at Boiling Spring if you're here at Clear and Branch.
