Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in South Carolina are easier than the national norm, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Brasstown Road to Yonah Lake stretch is the only paddling stretch along Brasstown Creek. The put-in location is a short drive from Toccoa, please print out     a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The beautiful scenery of South Carolina and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
