  The South Carolina Route 18 Bridge to South Carolina Route 211 Bridge stretch of Broad River in South Carolina is 17.9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. The average South Carolina whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
    For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The starting location is a short drive from Gaffney, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are
a few others too. The scenic beauty of South Carolina and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more.

Broad River gets lots of water; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and April meanwhile is the driest month. The warmest time of the year
 
at Broad River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Broad River are in the 20's.
The Rapids is a wonderful place to take a look at while you're at Broad River, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Gaffney.
