The put-in is not too far from Seneca, as you can see on the road map further down. This section of Chauga River is 3 miles long and is a class II-III(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a somewhat short section so better bring some good walking shoes. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both,     doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Verner Mill Road to Blackwell Bridge section is just one of them. The campgrounds here at Chauga River are pretty good. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Chauga River frequently tend to be in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Chauga River temperatures drop to the 20's.
