The wonderful South Carolina scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. The starting location is a short drive from Seneca,     if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The average South Carolina whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners.
