If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside South Carolina you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so better not forget that rivers here are less demanding. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this     general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The Cobbs Bridge Road to North Horseshoe Bridge Road stretch of Chauga River is 7.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II(III) section of whitewater. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Seneca, as you can see on the road map further down. Briefly about the general area: Chauga River gets a good deal of water; March is the wettest month with most rain; October meanwhile is the driest month. Horseshoe Bend is an attention-grabbing thing to see if you're here at Chauga River. At Chauga   River all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Chauga River.
