The South Carolina Route 14 Pelham to South Carolina Route 296 section of Enoree River in Greenville/ Spartanburg County is 4 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in South Carolina are easier than the national norm, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite
easy. If you're coming from Greenville it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. The South Carolina Route
14 Pelham to South Carolina Route 296 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. The beautiful scenery of Greenville/ Spartanburg County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle,
it's good length for a morning trip.
Briefly about the general area: It's always perfect to pop by Pelham Falls. Summertime highs at Enoree River usually tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's with
winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Enoree River. Enoree River gets a lot of water; March is the month that gets the most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture.
