The scenic beauty of Spartanburg/ Laurens border County and the water flowing gracefully down Enoree River make the trip here worthwhile. There's camping available near Enoree River. There are a few other sections in this river system that     can be paddled as well. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in South Carolina is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. Briefly about the general area: Gordons Mill Falls is a nice local attraction. The high level of rain makes Enoree River a reasonably wet spot; the wettest month of   the year is typically March, that's the one that rains the most while September is typically the driest month. All through the long summer days highs here at Enoree River get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Enoree River dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights.
