This section of Enoree River in Spartanburg/ Laurens border County is 6.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II+ section by American Whitewater. The starting point is not too far from Union, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The average South Carolina whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be
easier to run than those in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Getting some good exercise
and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. The wonderful South Carolina scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far.

Falls is a great local attraction. Enoree River is a relatively wet place usually with a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most, and September meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Enoree River
through the warm months are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's; night lows in the 20's for Enoree River.
