Island Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Cornmill Road Close to Mayo to Pacolet River stretch is the only one. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.
