This stretch of Kings Branch in South Carolina is 2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III+ section of whitewater. The nature scenery of South Carolina and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Kings     Mountain Park Run stretch is the only paddling stretch along Kings Branch. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. The put-in is not too far from Gaffney, as you can see on the road map further down. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: All through the warm days of summer at Kings Branch temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Kings Branch nighttime low temperatures   through the winter are in the 20's. The high level of rainfall makes Kings Branch a relatively wet place; March is when you get the most rain here, and April is the month with the least moisture.
