If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside South Carolina you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The natural beauty of Cherokee County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Kings Branch doesn't     have a lot of paddling sections, the Kings Mountain Park Run section is the only one. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
