Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The wonderful Spartanburg County scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats     anything. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is the only paddling stretch along Lawsons Fork Creek.
