The scenic beauty of Pickens County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if     you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
