  The beautiful scenery of South Carolina and the water flowing gracefully down Little River - North Fork will make you feel great. The starting point is not too far from Seneca, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. A bit of exercise and just
    being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very
popular destination. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Highway 11 to Tanyard Bridge section is one of them. This section of Little River - North Fork in Oconee County is 8 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The campgrounds here at Little River - North Fork are pretty good.

Going for a hike along the Foothills Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Don't leave Little River - North Fork without going to Oconee State Park, and this is a popular site for folks from Tamassee. Have a good hiking adventure along the Winding Stairs Trail.
