The wonderful Greenville County scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Matthews Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Raven Cliff Falls to US 276 section is the only one. There's camping available near Matthews Creek. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. Getting a
good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery. If you're coming from Brevard it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy
