This section of Oconee Creek in Oconee County is 1 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in South Carolina is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. This section is very short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The nearby hotels are a bit away from     the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beautiful scenery of South Carolina and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come.
