This stretch of Reedy River in South Carolina is 1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. This is an extremely short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There's camping available near Reedy River. This is the only
paddling section along Reedy River. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near.
Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Reedy River a wet site; September is when you get the most
rain here, and May on the other hand is the driest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Reedy River; during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 80's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Reedy River tend to be in the 70's.
