This section of Reedy River in South Carolina is 0 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but
if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The put-in location is a short drive from Greenwood, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There's camping available near Reedy River. This stretch is very short so you'll
have to walk back to the start over and over. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too.

is ordinarily the driest month. Tumbling Shoals is an inspiring place to check out during your stay. For the period of the summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Reedy River. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 50's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Reedy River tend to be in the 20's.
