The scenic beauty of Greenville County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these     hotels fill up quick. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The starting point is not too far from Brevard, as you can see on the road map further down. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Briefly about the general area: Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Saluda River, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows throughout the winter for Saluda River tend to be in the 20's. Saluda River sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through March this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with   the least moisture. Saluda River is near Buck Hollow which is unquestionably worth going to; what would a spot like Saluda River be without interesting close by characteristics like Cleveland Cliff.
