The natural beauty of South Carolina and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There's camping available near North Saluda River. This stretch is short so you'd     better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The Highway 25 to State Road 11 stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here.
