The Table Rock Reservoir to Highway 288 stretch of South Saluda River in Greenville/ Pickens County is 15 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Great exercise and just being     out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The put-in is not too far from Brevard, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots.
