The scenic beauty of Pickens County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The average South Carolina whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are less demanding. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The starting point is not too     far from Seneca, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Jones Mill Road to Lake Issaqueena section is the only paddling section along Sixmile Creek. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
