If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good spots for that around here. There's camping available near Stevens Creek. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping     stuff. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The scenic beauty of South Carolina and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Stevens Creek is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is November. At Stevens Creek   during the summertime months highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are typically in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Stevens Creek drop into the 30's.
