The Brookbend Road to Lake Hartwell stretch of Todd Creek in pickens County is 1 miles long and it is classified as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The natural beauty of South Carolina and     the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. This stretch is very short so no need to bring snacks. No shortage of good hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more.
