This stretch of Middle Tyger River is 2 miles long and is a class III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The starting point is not too far from Spartanburg, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up     quick. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy.
