The beautiful scenery of South Carolina and the water flowing gracefully down Warrior Creek are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in South Carolina are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. The South Carolina
49 to Enoree River section of Warrior Creek in Laurens County is 0.5 miles long and is a class II(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in is not too far from Spartanburg, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get
lost. The campgrounds here at Warrior Creek are pretty good. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. There are no other stretches to paddle along Warrior Creek than the South Carolina 49 to Enoree River stretch. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very
popular destination. This is an extremely short section so better bring some good walking shoes.
Briefly about the general area: Much rainfall falls at Warrior Creek; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most, and September
meanwhile is the driest month. Summer at Warrior Creek comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Warrior Creek are in the 20's.
