The scenic beauty of South Carolina and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. The Base of Upper Falls to Lake Jocassee stretch of Whitewater in South Carolina is 2.4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V+ section. The starting point is not too far from Seneca, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. There are a few other sections in this
river system that can be paddled as well. This section is quite short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Whitewater paddling here in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great experience. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area
has a large number of paddling spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in South Carolina tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.

you might not ever wanna go home again. A short visit to Lower Falls is always worthwhile. Through the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Whitewater with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter
lows in the 20's overnight here at Whitewater. Upper Falls is an inspiring place to explore during your stay; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Foothills Trail. Whitewater is a wet spot that gets a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; April is the month with the least moisture.
