This section of Big Sioux River in South Dakota is 1 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This is a very short section so no need to bring snacks. The Sioux Falls Park section is the only paddling section along Big Sioux River. The nature scenery of South Dakota and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here     worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in South Dakota tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: A short visit to Sioux Falls is always worthwhile.
